Terriers Beat Bruins Second Straight Night
The Estevan Bruins battled back but in the end they fell in defeat to the Yorkton Terriers 5-3 was the final.
The Terriers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after Jeremy Johnson and Riley Paterson scored for Yorkton.
The Bruins would take the lead in the second after they scored three goals in a 2:59 span, Dylan Smith, Josh Jelinski and Matt Brykaliuk scored for the Bruins to give them a 3-2 after 40 minutes.
In the third with 4:15 remaining, Johnson scored his second of the night to tie the game at 3-3, with 2:54 remaining Brent Struble scored on the powerplay to get the lead 4-3, and with 43 seconds left Johnson completed his hat trick.
Steven Glass made 25 saves in the loss, the Bruins powerplay went 0 for 4 on the night.
The Bruins next action is tomorrow night when they face the Humboldt Broncos at 7:30 in the last game of Day 1 action of the SGEU SJHL Showcase.
