The Estevan Bruins will return to Spectra Place when
they host the Melfort Mustangs with an opening faceoff of 7:30.
The Bruins are heading into the game with some momentum after defeating
the Notre Dame Hounds in Carlyle 8-3. Ben Johnstone and Ryan Ostertag
combined for 5 goals in the win. In the game on Wednesday, after a
little break Head Coach Keith Cassidy changed the lines a little bit,
one new unit saw Ostertag on a line with Matt Brykaliuk and Tanner
Froese.
Michael Hengen sat out Wednesday's game as he continues to recover from a
knee injury, he's likely going to be back in the lineup sometime this
weekend. If not tonight, then tomorrow night in Melville.
Derek Tendler handled the goaltending duties in Wednesday's win over
Notre Dame. Steven Glass and Brandon Stone last action was in the Bruins
loss to Yorkton last Wednesday.
The Mustangs head into the game on a slump, they have only won three
games this season which is good enough for 7 points. The Bruins beat the
Mustangs in their only matchup back on Oct.23 in Melfort.
After tonight's game the Bruins are on the road as they head to Melville
to face the Millionaires. Coverage on CJ1280 and Discoverestevan.com
begins at 7:20.
