Bruins-Mils Preview

The Estevan Bruins kick off a home and home set with the Melville Millionaires at Spectra Place. Tonight will be the 5th contest between the two teams this season with the Bruins owning a 1-3 record against the Mils.

The final game before the Christmas holidays saw the Bruins defeat the Mils  in Carlyle. The Bruins jumped out to an early lead and held off a late Mils charge in the third period.

Estevan Bruins- The Bruins season took another frustrating turn with the loss on Tuesday with Weyburn scoring with 0.2 seconds remaining. One positive for the Bruins in the game was the line of Hudson Morrison-Alex Cote-Cole Olson. The trio combined for 3 goals and 8 points with both of Morrison's goal on the powerplay.

Melville Millionaires- The Melville Millionaires opened 2013 with a home ice 5-3 win over their rivals in the Yorkton Terriers. The Mils dropped the opening game of the home and home set with Yorkton on Sunday night in overtime 5-4.

Keep An Eye Out For

Estevan Bruins- Hudson Morrison. Morrison generated a lot of scoring opportunities for the Bruins in December. And now that he's being put on a line with Alex Cote and Cole Olson, the opportunities should only increase in the games to come.

Melville Millionaires-Alex Wakaluk. Wakaluk has consistent all season for the Mils with a .927 Save% on the year. He was huge on Tuesday with 38 saves in the 5-3 win over Yorkton.
