There
will be an extra reason to attend tonight’s CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruin
game tonight when they meet the Nipawin Hawks. It’s food and toy collection
night, with all of the food proceeds going to the Estevan Food Bank and the
toys going to the Angel Toy Tree Drive.
During the holiday season, the Estevan Salvation Army is asking for food donations so they can fill either fill food in the Christmas hampers that they send out during the holiday season or the Salvation Army uses the donated food items to help fill the shelves at the Estevan Food Bank. The Salvation Army was able to help out the flood victims this spring immediately because of the food items they received during the Christmas season last year.
The Salvation Army would prefer the following food items be donated to their food bank. Hamburger Helper, Stuffing, Cookie, Pasta Sauce,Cheese Whiz, Instant Potatoes , Canned Meat Cereal , Peanut Butter.
In the past Bruin fans have done a great job of helping out the Food Drive and the Angel Tree Drive in the past, and with the big crowds at Spectra Place, she’s hoping the support is bigger than ever before.
