A solid week from Bruins Rookie Forward Darcy DeRoose was recognized by the SJHL as he was named this week's Rookie of the Week.
DeRoose scored a pair of goals and added an assist in the Bruins 4-1 win over Battlefords on Friday night. DeRoose scored his first goal in the SJHL the previous game against Weyburn.
With the Bruins injuries, DeRoose will be expected to help fill the void left in the Bruins lineup.
