Bruins Finish Road Trip with Loss to Broncos

The Estevan Bruins finished off their three game road trip with a 2-1 loss to the Humboldt Broncos at the Elgar Peterson Arena.

All three goals came in the first period of the game as the Broncos both of their goals 21 seconds apart. At the 5:09 mark of the period Dylan Fluter scored the game's opening goal for Humboldt. Cody Goal would extend the lead to 2-0 at 5:30 of the first period.

Tyler Paslawski scored the Bruins lone goal with 26 seconds remaining in the period on the power play with Tyler Kauk and Austin Yano drawing assists.

The Bruins were unable to tie the game in the final 40 minutes of the game as the Broncos skated away with the two points. Humboldt outshot the Bruins 37-32. On the power play the Bruins went 1-7 while Humboldt went 1-3.

The Bruins next game is Saturday when they host Weyburn at Spectra Place. The Bruins, Austin Yano, Hudson Morrison and Travis Pelletier will remain in Humboldt over the next couple of days to take part in the WJAC ID Camp. Bruins Head Coach Keith Cassidy will also be apart of the camp coaching one of the teams.
