One Team Left on the Bruins List: Bruins-Mft Preview

After a good start to the 3 day road trip last night in Nipawin, the Bruins will face a tough test in the Melfort Mustangs. The Bruins are 0-3 against the Mustangs this year. Melfort is the only team in the SJHL who the Bruins have yet to beat.

Melfort is one of the best teams in the SJHL, especially with the acquisitions of Brayden Metz and Cody Hanson. They might have the best player in the SJHL in Charles Corsi, and they're clearly one of the top teams in the SJHL heading into the final weeks of the season.

The Bruins can move into sole possession of third place with a win tonight in Melfort. The Bruins need to play the same type of game tonight as they did against the Hawks, a full team effort with every single player making a contribution.

Probably the same lineup tonight, except I THINK(notice the emphasis on think) Ty Ariss will be out of the lineup after suffering an upper body injury last night. The good news is Dylan Smith should be back in the lineup after feeling ill last night in Nipawin.

Joel Danyluk will probably get the start in net. Danyluk's play has picked up over the last couple weeks, even in the losses against Kindersley and La Ronge, I thought he was deserving of a win. Danyluk is starting to peak at the right time with the playoffs coming up in 3 weeks time.

Catch the game on CJ1280 and Discoverestevan.com at 7:20...2nd intermission Guest will be Liam Brennan, the former Bruin who won the SJHL championship in La Ronge last year and is now playing in Augustana College in Alberta.
