Bruins Vs Hounds Preview

The Bruins are back in action tonight when they face off with the Notre Dame Hounds in Carlyle. The Bruins have been off since last Wednesday when the Bruins were defeated by Yorkton 9-0. Since that time the Bruins spent the weekend in Grand Forks and are ready to get back into action.

The Bruins are hoping Michael Hengen is back in the lineup tonight. Hengen has been out of the lineup with a knee injury for the last two weeks. The injury isn't too serious as Keith Cassidy has said Hengen would be in the lineup if it was the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see if the lines are changed from last week. During the northern road trip, the Bruins changed the lines and had Dylan Smith centering Calder Neufeld and Ryan Ostertag while Cole Olson centred a line with Taylor Reich and Tanner Froese.

Eric Baldwin will likely be back on the blue line for good after spending some time up front with injuries to Hengen and Matt Brykaliuk. Baldwin turned in a solid effort and you never know if the Bruins fall into injury trouble with the forwards, we might see the Bruins have Baldwin back up on the wing.

This is probably a safe prediction, but I'm sure the Bruins won't score 9 goals against the Hounds. In their two wins against the Hounds, the Bruins have scored 9 goals both on home ice. I think the Hounds will use the number 9 as a motivational factor tonight.

I'm sure Ben Johnstone is going to have a big night, he's one of the most exciting players to watch on a normal night, I can only imagine how much fun it's going to be to watch play in front of his home crowd. I'm sure he'll be playing with a lot of extra jump tonight.

See you at the Carlyle Sports Arena at 7:30.
