Bruins Vs Mills On CJ1280 and Discoverestevan.com tonight

The Estevan Bruins will hit the road tonight as they travel to Melville to face the new look Millionaires, and you can catch the game on CJ1280 beginning at 7:20 with the pregame show.

The Bruins have the Millionaires number so far in the season series with the Bruins taking all four contests, including the first games in Spectra Place and the Credit Union Horizon Centre. But since their last contest on October 18 both teams have experienced some change.

For the Bruins, early in the season the majority of the scoring was counted on by the line of Cole Olson, Dylan Smith and Calder Neufeld. While those three players have continued to score, the secondary scoring has really stepped for the Bruins. Guys like Taylor Reich, Ben Johnstone, Ryan Ostertag, Matt Brykaliuk and others have played a bigger role for the Bruins over the past few weeks as they continue to lead the Sherwood Conference.

For Melville their change is personnel, yesterday Jaime Fiesel made a pair of deals. First sending 91 F Mark Owen and 93 Goalie Zach Rakochy to Steinbach of the MJHL for 93 F Russell Trudeau. Then 92 F Roger Tagoona was dealt to Battlefords for 91 G Blake Voth. Heading into the season, Millionaires were pegged as the favorites in the Sherwood Conference but with a 6-6-1-3, Fiesel felt his roster needed a little shakeup. Both Trudeau and Voth are expected to be in the Millionaires lineup when the Bruins visit Melville tonight.

On the injury front, the Bruins will be without Captain Josh Jelinski and Austin Yano, obviously two big parts to the team, but it doesn' sound like either will be out long term, and with a week long break both players could be back in a week's time. Johnstone took over Jelinski's spot on the "Energy" line with Matt Dochylo and Derek Whitehill and didn't look out of place. While Eric Baldwin moved back to the blue line and played with Tyler Kauk who usually lines up with Yano.

In net, Brandon Stone took the start last night, so I'm predicting we will see either Steven Glass or Derek Tendler. Glass hasn't played since last Wednesday in the loss to Yorkton, and with another week off coming up for the Bruins, he would be my guess to get the nod tonight.

Make sure you tune into tonight's game on CJ1280 or discoverestevan.com with the pregame show kicking off at 7:20.
