Cooper and Terriers Defeated by Penticton

Despite falling to 0-2 to start the tournament, the Penticton Vees are the second team to clinch a spot in the RBC Cup semi-finals after a 3-1 win against the Portage Terriers.

The game started off as a goalie duel with former Bruins goalie Shea Cooper and Penticton   
Michael Garteig keeping the scoreless after the first period.

In the second period Portage opened up the scoring on the powerplay to gain a 1-0 lead.

But Penticton came back strong in the third period as they rattled of three unanswered goals to take game 3-1.

Penticton is the only team off today as the round robin wraps up today with Woodstock and Soo followed by Humboldt vs Portage.

Humboldt has clinced first place they're at 3-0, Penticton is 2-2 and that's followed by Portage, Woodstock and Soo all at 1-2.

Tomorrow is an off day followed by the semi-finals on Saturday.
