Bruins Beat Bombers 4-2

The Estevan Bruins snapped their four game losing streak as they defeated the Flin Flon Bombers 4-2 at Spectra Place.

The Bruins opened the scoring in the first period as Tanner Froese scored his 10th goal of the season off a quick faceoff win from Ben Johnstone. The Bombers would tie it up when Jesse Myseriok replied for the Bombers, but on the very next shift Josh Jelinski scored his 8th goal of the season as the Bruins headed into the locker room after 20 minutes.

Flin Flon would score the only goal in the second period as Landon Hiebert snuck behind the Bruins defence and scored for the Bombers to tie the game at 2-2.

In the third period the Bruins power play stepped up again as Matt Brykaliuk took a nice a pass from Calder Neufeld and buried a shot top shelf to give the Bruins the lead. Cole Olson added an empty netter to make the final 4-2.
Tyler Ross picked up his first win as a Bruin as he made 33 saves.

After the game I spoke to Brykaliuk.

The Bruins will meet the Bombers for the second straight night and you can catch it on CJ1280 and discoverestevan.com beginning at 5:50.
