Bruins Busy On Jan.10


The CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins were very active on the January 10th deadline as they begin their playoff push.

The Bruins acquired defenceman Zach MacLellan from the Battlefords Northstars in exchange for future considerations.  MacLellan had 1 goal and 18 assists for the Northstars in 40 games this season. MacLellan had 2 goals and 8 assists last year with Battlefords.

The Bruins went out of province as they acquired 1991 forward Trevor Tracy from the Spruce Grove Saints , Tracy originally from California had 30 points in 38 games this season for the Saints and the Drumheller Dragons in the AJHL.  Tracy previously played in the US last season with the Des Moines Bucaneers and in the NAHL with the Springfield Jr. Blues. The Bruins gave up future considerations in the deal.

                                    The Bruins parted ways with goalie Derek Tendler and announced that Dylan Schellenberg was sent to Camrose to complete the future considerations portion of the trade that saw Connor Milligan come to Estevan.

Bruins are back in action on Friday when they host La Ronge with an opening faceoff at 7:30 at Spectra Place.
