Bruins Drop Home and Home With Melville 9-4

The Estevan Bruins struggles continue as they were defeated by the Melville Millionares 9-4 last night.

Melville opened up the scoring before the Bruins took a 2-1 lead as Brett Dumaine and Nick Weiss replied for the Bruins. Melville tied the game late in the first at 2-2.

The Millionaires took an early lead in the second before Hudson Morrison tied the game at 3-3. But Melville responded with a pair goals 40 seconds apart to take a 5-3 lead. Weiss added his second but Melville scored 12 seconds later to take a 6-4 lead into the second intermission.

It was all Melville in the third as they scored three times to make a final of 9-4.

The Bruins next game is Friday in Battlefords and that game can be heard on CJ1280 and discoverestevan.com beginning at 7:20.
